Job Title
Lead Developer
Job Description

For its new Paris studio, Tap4Fun France is looking for a Lead Developer.

This is a key position for our studio, you will be the technical backbone, our local CTO, managing a team of devs, establishing the technical design of our game, and of course coding as well.

Tap4Fun develops massively online strategy games on iOS & Android devices, so we need you to have a broad technical vision, that covers Server, DB, Client.
You won’t be alone though, Tap4Fun Dev and Online teams will be there to assist, and you won’t need to reinvent the wheel for sure: we’ll reuse past architectures that are supporting games currently live, and then we’ll add extra magic to them.

Your missions will be to:

- Establish the technical foundations of the game developed in Paris studio, reusing already existing game engine and server infrastructure

- Lead the development of the game developed in Paris, from prototyping to final production

- Manage a team of 3-4 developers locally, plus more devs in off-shore location, covering both client & server sides: Assigning tasks to devs (helped by Project Manager), supervising their work, etc.

Your profile:

  • Senior level, you have years of experience in online mobile development, with several quality apps on the AppStore
  • You master iOS development (Objective-C, XCode, iOS SDK, Cocoa, OpenGL ES, in app purchases, push notifications, etc)
  • Experience with Online Services, MySQL, MongoDB, and web protocols, including HTTP, TCP, JSON and XML-formatted return data
  • Experience with Unity 3D
  • Experience with source control systems such as SVN, Git…
  • Experience with Agile software development, ex Scrum, XP, TDD etc
  • You can debug come from other developers, trace performance, find bottlenecks and solve them
  • You can reuse large chunks of code & engines from others, you’re not one of these devs who can only work with his own code, coz you know, everyone else’s code is crap
  • You can manage a team of developers, organize and supervise the work of team members
  • You can tell quickly what works and what doesn’t in a mobile game
  • You know that what matters most is the quality of the User Experience, you can’t satisfy yourself with so-so results
  • You're passionate about video games and mobile experiences
  • Autonomous, self motivated, you like to adapt and find solutions
  • You find it exciting to join a small structure that you will help to grow
  • You have a very good level in English, both written and spoken

Knowledge of Android NDK is a plus

Knowledge of Lua, Golang or Erlang is a plus

We like people with a “can do” attitude, passionate, self-motivated, willing to push things further, open to suggestions from others.

On our side, what do we have for you? A motivating salary working in the heart of Paris, the chance to join a small studio that you will help grow and amazing teammates with a long proven track record in mobile industry.
Our ambition is to aim only for the very best and mean something in the industry. Join us if you like this idea!
