Korean mobile game publisher Com2uS (KOSDAQ: 078340) has announced its financial results for the 3 months ending 31 March 2013.

Q1 revenue was 24.9 billion KRW (approximately $22.4 million), up 121 percent year-on-year.

Love to talk

Thanks to Korean mobile messaging platform KakaoTalk, Com2uS has been performing very strongly domestically.

This continued in Q1 with games such as strategy RPG Heroes War and the company's baseball and social gaming titles doing well.

Korean sales were up 274 percent year-on-year to 18.3 billion KRW ($16.5 million).

International sales actually dropped 18 percent quarter-on-quarter, however, as Com2uS focused on releasing games for KakaoTalk.

It plans to release 16 games during Q2.
