Japanese-headquartered Android promotion and monetisation outfit Metaps has demonstrated its muscle.

It's just announced that the total downloads through its platform has reached one billion.

Metaps' platform consists of its DirectTAP, Exchanger and metaps offerwall products.

Playing with the big boys

"Over the past year, we have entered into very productive partnerships with LINE and Kakao, and we have continued to improve the high quality of our user network with the addition of top-level Android developers producing high quality games," pointed out CEO Katsuaki Sato.

The company is continuing to expand, recently opening a Shanghai office as well as boosting its visibility in the European market.

And to celebrate its one billion milestone, it's running a special campaign for partners, which can be accessed via its Facebook page.
