Com2uS posts record year for sales and profits as it pushes further into the global market

Com2uS (KOSDAQ:078340) has released its financials for the full year of its FY16 ending December 31st 2016.

It posted sales of $447.4 million for the year, up 19% year-on-year and setting a new record for the company. Its net profit also increased 20% year-on-year to $130.3 million.

Breaking this down further, Com2uS showed that overseas sales accounted for 86% of overall sales and saw a growth of 22% year-on-year. In Q4 alone the company generated $102.5 million in overseas sales.

Going abroad

Its flagship title Summoners War remains the company's main focus. It has started an "IP Strategy Team" which will be looking to push Com2uS IPs into cartoons, movies, and other merchandising, starting with Summoners War.

Com2uS has also licensed some "famous North American console IPs" to develop games for, but did not reveal which IPs. It will look to use these IPs and aggressive marketing campaigns to further tackle the global market.

Summoners War surpassed $500 million in lifetime revenues in Q1 of Com1uS' FY16. 25% of these revenues were generated in North America alone.
