80% of Gamevil's War of Crown's one million downloads came from outside South Korea

80% of the downloads of Gamevil's latest hardcore strategy RPG War of Crown came from outside its home country of South Korea.

The figure comes as the game surpasses one million downloads worldwide a little over a month after it was first launched. Gamevil did not break down the specific countries where the game was downloaded.

Surprising

War of Crown is a particularly hardcore turn-based strategy RPG with a distinctly Korean flavour in terms of design and presentation. Its success outside Gamevil's home country is therefore noteworthy.

Developer Asone Games will continue to support the game with new content over the coming months to continue to engage its growing playerbase.

Gamevil recently signed a deal with developer Singta to publish its upcoming game Giant. The new title will be a family-friendly 3D RPG, likely more accessible than War of Crown.
