Tencent’s PUBG: Exhilarating Battlefield tops the mobile battle royale stakes in February

Tencent's Playerunkown's Battlegrounds duo make top five most downloaded for February

Tencent’s PUBG: Exhilarating Battlefield tops the mobile battle royale stakes in February

PUBG: Exhilarating Battlefield was the most downloaded battle royale game in the world between February 1st and 21st, according to App Annie.

The market data company revealed the top five mobile battle royale titles to PocketGamer.biz, which showed Tencent’s Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds duo Exhilarating Battlefield and Army Attack making a big splash.

This comes shortly after the two titles parachuted into the global download chart just two days after release on February 9th. The clutch was ever more impressive as the games were only released in China.

The number one entry PUBG: Exhilarating Battlefield was designed to offer up a more authentic experience with the aim of evoking the spirit of the PC original that was developed by PUBG Corp.

PUBG: Army Attack on the other hand, the fourth most downloaded battle royale game, aims to change things up with new gameplay elements that include a greater emphasis on air and sea combat.

Winner winner, chicken dinner!

Garena Online’s Free Fire meanwhile was the second most-downloaded mobile battle royale game. The title goes against the grain by offering some faster-paced 10-minute matches with a limit of 50 players per game, along with a guild system.

NetEase’s Rules of Survival has enjoyed some fine form recently and was the third most-downloaded battle royal title across the globe. The game also jumped up 11 places to seventh in Reflection and UKIE’s UK download charts for free iPad games.

The fifth most downloaded battle royal title was NetEase’s Knives out which has also been going steady since hitting 100 million downloads in its first month back in December.
