Term1nal developer Force Field raises $1.14 million to finish its next six games

Amsterdam-based VR developer Force Field has raised €1 million ($1.14 million) in series A funding to continue development on a wide portfolio of games.

The studio is known for its Gear VR game Term1nal and Oculus Rift title Landfall. It currently has six games in development, none of which have been announced.

Best in class

"Over the past year Force Field managed to acquire a leading position in the rapidly growing VR and AR industry, delivering a number of 'best in class' games and entertainment experiences," said Force Field’s co-founder Arthur Houtman.

"For the next years our aim is to further extend our lead into two strategic directions: the development of high-end location based VR and the creation of a series of unique new IPs for the home VR market. We will use this investment for those purposes."

There's still plenty of money being pumped into VR development around the world. In the same week, VR developer nDreams raised $3.5 million in funding for the development of its portfolio.
