Brains Eden is a free gaming festival that attracts a collection of students, academics and games developers from across the UK and Europe and the World!...this year will see the first Canadian team from Nova Scotia particpate.
The four day event will include a BAFTA supported symposium - featuring a keynote speaker and talks from selected panellists. A 48 hour Games Jam where teams of five will collaborate and create their own game to be put forward for judging. There will also be ample opportunity to attend the Careers Clinic, where industry experts will offer individualized feedback and advice.
The festival culminate in a large Games Art Exhibition in the Ruskin Gallery. Participant's innovation will be celebrated in the form of an Awards Ceremony which will celebrate the games produced over the weekend.
Accomodation and catering will be provided for participants.
Cambridge is a hot bed for technological advancement and is host to a world leading digital creative hub which has grown in support of historic local hardware initiatives. A good number of world-renowned games development companies and over a thousand games industry professionals are employed in Cambridge.
Conceived by Games Eden, Cambridge's games development network and produced by Creative Front Cambridgeshire, this vibrant festival is fully supported and funded by industry leaders such as ARM, Sony Guerrilla Cambridge, PlayStation First, Frontier and Jagex.
