Everyone loves developers and none more so than Samsung, which has announced the dates for its regular Samsung Developers Conference for 2016.

Running 27-28 April in the Moscone West conference center in San Francisco, the event will cover all aspects of Samsung's business from games and apps to hardware ranging from smartphones and wearables to the Internet of Things, VR and Smart TV.

Indeed, the show's theme is Connecting the Future Everywhere You Look.

Early bird tickets are now available on a first-come first-served basis for $399.

Brains out, hands on

In keeping with the show's focus on providing developers with early access to new hardware, there will be a pre-event day - labelled Day 0.

This will provide prerelease hardware for developers to get to grips with, as well as expects who will cover development best practices for technologies such as the Gear VR, SmartThings, Gear S2, Smart TV, and Project Beyond.

The conference proper will kick-off with a high profile keynote setting out Samsung's vision for the future, and how it wants to embrace its developer community and see it succeed.

Of course, across the two days there will be plenty of opportunities to get hands-on with products as Samsung promises this will be its most open show ever.

There will also be over 60 technical sessions plus more two-hour deep-delve tutorials.

And aside from all the working, there will be a day 1 evening party and hardware giveaways.

You can get all the details from the Samsung Developers Conference website.
