This seminar will provide a timely opportunity for delegates to discuss the next steps for Scotland’s digital economy, following publication of the Scottish Government’s new digital strategy, Realising Scotland’s full potential in a Digital World, in March 2017.

Sessions will consider the practical challenges and next steps for implementing key actions laid out in the strategy, which includes plans to launch a new Digital Growth Fund to improve supply of digital skills; steps to ensure resilience against cyber-attacks and a commitment to ensuring access to broadband speeds of at least 30 megabits per second for all by 2021 - as well as ways in which to address barriers to coverage in rural locations.

The seminar also takes place following publication of the UK Digital Strategy, providing delegates with an opportunity to consider future priorities in relation to both the Scottish and UK context.
