Why it's time to join Top Eleven developer Nordeus

Nordeus is one of the shining examples of startup success in the era of games-as-a-service.

Across Facebook, mobile and web, its Top Eleven football management game has been a massive global hit; something that has enabled the developer to grow, both in terms of raw headcount as well as geographical locations.

And that success has breed a constant demand to attract new talent.

In this sponsored feature, we talk to Lead HR Manager Tamara Stojanovic about the formation of the company, the importance of company culture, and why you should consider applying for a job at Nordeus.

PocketGamer.biz: Can you give us an overview of Nordeus?

Tamara Stojanovic: Nordeus is an award-winning independent games developer and producer of Top Eleven.

The most successful online sports game ever made Top Eleven has now surpassed the 140 million registered users mark and has been played on every continent in the world - yes, even in Antarctica!

What's more, we're proud that José Mourinho has been the game's official brand ambassador since 2013.

Founded in 2010, Nordeus was the brainchild of Branko Milutinović, Milan Jovović and Ivan Stojisavljević.

Sensing a unique opportunity to disrupt the gaming industry - one of the biggest and fastest growing industries in the world - they quit their promising corporate careers abroad and returned to their hometown of Belgrade to start working on their vision.

Six years on and Nordeus is now an industry leading games developer. We've garnered multiple awards along the way, including two for Best Tech Employer in South East Europe.

With the goal to provide the best gaming experience to millions of people across the globe, we're not only growing Top Eleven to where we know it can be, we're currently working on new games that we believe will be huge.

As a result, we're currently looking to welcome fresh talent on board to join us on this exciting journey!

How many employees and offices does Nordeus have?

Nordeus has three studios based in London, Belgrade and Dublin, where 160 talented professionals work in small, empowered teams.

Nordeus has three studios based in London, Belgrade and Dublin, where 160 talented professionals work in small, empowered teams.

The Belgrade office is the heart of the company where the majority of our employees, from HR and Marketing to game developers and analysts, are based. The London studio consists of an incredibly talented development team, and Dublin is the hub for our player support, community management and social media activity.

A very important part of our structure is that we operate with a very flat structure.

For example, our founders, the same guys who first produced Top Eleven, still share the same office space as the rest of the company and remain integral members of our various games teams. We're all in the trenches together because everyone at Nordeus shares the same dream.

That's really important to us; we really value this 'all for one, one for all' attitude.

No matter the project or no matter the task that needs to be done, we always know that someone's got our back. That trust means that each employee irreplaceably contributes to our culture and growth. That is why we value our people so much!

Could you describe the company culture? Why should someone work for you?

There are many reasons why we have won numerous awards, including for best employer of the year.

Working at Nordeus is not just about doing the work, it's about being part of a close-knit family. It's imperative that everyone who walks through our front door feels excited, passionate and understands how important they are to us and in growing the company.

We empower all our people to make an impact from day one. Not only are they given the creative freedom to explore their ideas, we understand the value of giving them the independence they need to deliver their very best work.

Our only rule is that everyone must have maximum respect for others' ideas and needs. We believe that it only with this mindset that the very best games can be created.

We're immensely proud of the culture we've created together and values we hold.

We're immensely proud of the culture we've created together and values we hold.

For example, we offer all our employees unlimited opportunities for continual learning and development; our salaries are always above the industry standard and are supplemented by attractive bonus schemes; our benefits include full health-care coverage, flexible working hours, access to the latest technology, food and beverages during working hours, and gym memberships.

We also have a great relocation plan for top talent interested in positions based in Belgrade.
