How will Peak Games use its $100 million warchest, The Game Awards reveals its nominees, and how to launch a game in China

Peak Games selling its card and board game portfolio to Zynga for $100 million practically came out of nowhere, especially since it leaves Peak with essentially just two games to focus on.

The real question on everyone's lips, however, was how Peak would spend its newfound wealth - so much so that Jon Jordan's article exploring the developer's potential future went straight to number one on our Hot Five list.

Second up is the Games Award's reveal of the nominees for its end-of-year awards ceremony, with Super Mario Run and Fire Emblem Heroes receiving nods in the Best Mobile Game category.

China, Growtopia, and GameMaker

Third on the list is an article from Tappx China Country Manager Bob Wang, who stopped by to explain the process of how to launch a game in China.

And finally, Ubisoft has seen impressive growth from Growtopia and its portfolio of Ketchapp games, while GameMaker Studio 2 has introduced a $39 yearly subscription tier.
