Analytics platform Localytics 'aggressively hiring' on the back of threefold revenue growth

Big data is booming and that means companies who handle big data are also booming.

One such is US outfit Localytics, which has announced that thanks to its smarts being installed in 28,000 apps across 1.5 billion devices, it's tripled year-on-year revenue.

Although being privately held, it hasn't revealed absolute numbers.

Boots on the ground

One area in which it's keen to boast about numbers, however, is headcount.

Currently 120 employees-strong, the company has moved to a new office in downtown Boston and is "aggressively hiring" an additional 30 staff.

"Mobile apps and data insights are the biggest influences changing the practice of modern marketing," commented CEO Raj Aggarwal.

"Our growth is a reflection of the maturation of the market and the need for a reliable, scalable product to provide granular insights about app users and turn that data into intelligent marketing."
