Plarium opens first London studio, with ex-NaturalMotion GM Olliver Heins at the helm

The Israel-based mobile developer Plarium has opened its first UK office in London.

This will be Plarium's 8th worldwide location, adding to its Herzliya, Israel headquarters, 4 studios in Ukraine (Kiev, Lyiv, Nikolaev, and Kharkov), and further studios in Krasnodar, Russia and Michigan, USA.

Room for more

The firm employs over 1,000 people and is best known in the mobile world for games such as Stormfall: Rise of Balur and Vikings: War of Clans.

Olliver Heins will be taking the reins at the new London studio, having previously worked as General Manager at NaturalMotion and Head of Games at Goodgame Studios.

“I’m thrilled to join the Plarium team to create the next generation of triple-A RPG games for mobile platforms,” he said.

“Opening this new office is necessary to ensure we are able to bring the same level of attention, quality and community involvement that our fans expect from us as we grow more rapidly in the mobile game space,” added Avi Shalel, CEO and co-founder of Plarium.
