Loot Crate looking for a Game Producer for games and VR/AR projects

Loot Crate, the LA-based firm that made its name by curating a monthly subscription box of gaming and comic-themed memorabilia, has been moving towards game development for a while.

It launched AR mobile game Loot Crate: Master Summoner in September 2015, and in January it advertised for a number of mobile game-specific roles.

Branching out

Now, it's hiring for a Game Producer - although it no longer appears to be solely interested in mobile game development.

"This is a key role for the newly formed interactive team with a one of a kind opportunity to build new types of interactive experiences, from games, to augmented reality interactions to virtual reality experiences," reads the listing.

The successful candidate will work with the Product Manager and Game Designer, and will require a minimum of five years' experience managing games - "whether desktop or mobile."

The still-vacant Lead Game Developer role, however, specifically states a requirement for "5 years of mobile game development experience," indicating that mobile remains the firm's primary focus.
