SpatialOS developer Improbable hires ex-Disney and GitHub execs as CCO and CMO

UK cloud-based simulation technology firm Improbable has hired two new C-level executives to continue to grow and expand on its SpatialOS platform.

Bill Roper joins the developer in the new role of Chief Creative Officer. He was formerly Vice President, Head of DI Central Creative at The Walt Disney Company with DCPI Labs and has held roles at Blizzard and Flagship Studios.

Jason Jhonson is the second hire, taking on the role of Chief Marketing Officer. Jhonson is the former Senior Director of Developer and Product Marketing at GitHub, and has held roles at PayPal and Yahoo.

World-class team

"Too often, startup stories focus on the founders. We are building a world-class team at Improbable," said Herman Narula, CEO and co-founder of Improbable.

"These two critical hires bring a wealth of experience and a record of success with some of the biggest names in entertainment and technology. We're delighted to have them at Improbable, as we move into a new stage of our history."

Improbable made headlines recently with its $502 million series B funding round led by SoftBank. The money is being used to continue development on SpatialOS, as well as invest in other developers and expand Improbable's London and San Francisco offices.
