Twitch lays off staff as company restructures

Streaming giant Twitch has reportedly laid off a number of it's employees in an effort to restructure several of its internal divisions.

According to Polygon, it's rumoured that around 30 Twitch employees were let go this month.

A Twitch representative said in a statement to Polygon that 'Twitch is continuing to grow and advance' and that the company has plans to 'increase our headcount by appproximately 30 per cent' despite the job losses.

Notable departures from the company include Ben 'Fishstix' Goldhaber, Twitch's now former director of content marketing, and former VP of community and social Justin Wong.

The pair announced their departures from Twitch via Twitter.
