Who are we?
Playwing (sister company to Ubisoft, Guillemot Corp., Longtail Studios, Ariann and Airlab Inc.) is an independent Game Developer and Publisher with a lot of passion for games. One of our team’s main goals is to improve the gaming experience for players.

For that reason we publish, distribute, and develop games for several countries worldwide. We are continuously innovating and seeking for the best UX.

Playwing has operational offices in Rennes (France), Madrid (Spain), Bucharest (Romania), Kharkiv (Ukraine), Montreal (Canada) and a sales office in San Diego (USA). We also count with two partner studios, Mando Productions, in Paris (France) Shinypix, in Bordeaux (France)

Are you interested in?
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative multidiscipline environment implementing gameplay edition tool, user interface and features that meet the requirements of the project’s Lead Designer and Lead Programmer.

You will be responsible of:
· Ensure the delivery of practical and timely solutions by the gameplay engineering team that meets the game design and technical requirements.
· Ensure code is modular, self-contained, and defensive and observes the technical constraints on the system by leading regular technical design and code reviews.
· Ensure coding standards are followed, and help to enforce good programming practices within the engineering team.
· Ensure the creation of technical documentation for the engineering team.
· Optimize code and data for memory usage and performance as required.
· Write debugging tools for programmers, level designers and artists.

You must have:
· 3+ years’ experience in the game development industry;
· Extensive knowledge of C++ programming and debugging, with good knowledge of object oriented development;
· Experience with commonly used development tools such as Visual Studio and perforce.
· Familiarity with common scheduling, task and issue tracking tools – MS Project, Jira etc.…
· Good understanding of multithreaded/parallel programming;
· Good understanding of gameplay technology and can use their technical knowledge in various areas such as mathematics, physics, animation, artificial intelligence to implement gameplay features, and believable behaviors.
· Knowledge of common algorithms, data structures and patterns, and the ability to apply them to problems while keeping constraints and performance in mind.
· Experience with 3D games engines;
· Shipped console/PC title experience.

Got these? Even better:
· Good knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 is a plus.
· Experience working on multiplayer games development (Online) is a plus.

· Passionate about playing and making games.
· Ability to work in an iterative environment with game designers to quickly prototype gameplay features.
· Experience with commonly used development tools such as Visual Studio and perforce.
· Familiarity with common scheduling, task and issue tracking tools – MS Project, Jira, etc.
· Self-motivated and pro-active with a strong work ethic.
· Able to analyze unfamiliar code of a reasonable complexity to understand and extend the functionality of an existing module.
· Proven ability to debug defects of a reasonable complexity.
· Good oral and written communication in English;
· Good oral and written communication in French is a plus;
