OrangePixel revamps RumbleX SDK

OrangePixel has announced the relaunch of its RumbleX social mobile games platform.

Since 2006, it's been letting game developers include online rankings and achievements in their mobile games. RumbleX is now available for Android developers, with an iPhone version in the works too. These will sit alongside the existing J2ME SDK.

OrangePixel has revamped its RumbleX mobile portal, offering free ad-wrapped games using Greystripe's technology, as well as various community features for players.

But perhaps the most interesting new feature in the RumbleX platform is its new Web 2.0 features, allowing players to link their profile with those on websites or social networks, including Twitter, Friendfeed, Jaiku and Pownce. Support for Facebook is on the way, apparently.

Meanwhile, there are also new widgets, allowing developers to display the best scores for a game on their websites, and gamers to embed their best scores or achievements on their blogs or sites.
