Publishing cooperative Selfpubd launches, offers discounted membership until 29 June
Having first hit the headlines as Who Needs Chillingo? more than a year ago, self publishing movement Selfpubd has finally been unleashed upon the industry.

The group is designed to offer developers an alternative to the traditional model of signing up with a publisher, with a focus on getting titles to market independently combined with tools for both promotion and app discovery.

Money matters

The good news for any developers looking to join is, a year's membership is currently on offer for the discounted figure of $400.

Studios looking to take advantage need to use the 'SAVE100' discount code when signing up, with the offer running until 29 June.

"So many developers think like the coder or creative person that they are, and so few of us have solid sales or business experience," said Selfpubd founder Andy Rosic in an email.

"In a way, Selfpubd serves as a sort of incubator or boot camp for studios to beef up their sales and marketing side - without breaking the bank. We exist to help devs think beyond the app stores, and to truly build a sustainable, measurable and successful business."

There's also a new monthly payment option on offer, with developers advised to use the '40MONTHLY' code during sign up. More details can be found on Selfpubd's website.
