IGDA elects ZeeGee Games CEO Dustin Clingman as chair
The Independent Game Developers Association (IGDA) has elected Dustin Clingman, CEO of iOS studio ZeeGee Games, as chair of the board for 2012-2013.

The vote, taken as part of the board's annual meeting, saw Clingman joined by former Microsoft man Ed Fries as treasurer, and UC Santa Cruz's Jane Pinckard as secretary.

The board also moved Riptide Games founder and former IGDA chair Brian Robbins up to the position of Chair Emeritus.

"We are looking forward to pushing the organization forward in new areas and directions," said Clingman of his appointment.

"We continue to grow our IGDA Scholars program with Develop Brighton participating this year. And we're also enhancing our IGDA Summit event in July with new tracks and inspiring, thought-provoking keynotes."

ZeeGee developers games across iOS, Flash, Unity and Facebook, with Clingman having co-founded the Orlando-based studio with Dave Arneson in 2002.

IGDA secretary Pinckard said the board had dealt with a "strong set of candidates this year", with the elections delivering a "great board with a diverse and complementary skill set."
