Leaving Bristol studio after more than 3 years

Mobile Pie's creative director Will Luton steps down
Bristol-based developer Mobile Pie has announced the departure of creative director Will Luton after more than three years at the company.

No express reason has been given for the move, though Luton himself claims he's looking forward to taking on "new challenges."

Huge contribution

"We've had a fantastic time working with Will and wish him all the best," said co-founder and technical director Tom Dowding.

"As Mobile Pie's first employee he has made a huge contribution to the success we've experienced and we're sure he has a great career ahead of him."

As well as representing Mobile Pie at scores of events up and down the UK, Luton has become a notable industry commentator over the last couple of years, writing regular columns for the likes of Develop, GamesIndustry.biz and, of course, PocketGamer.biz.

Next steps

What lies ahead is currently unclear, though Luton says he's "looking forward to being able to talk about my next steps."

"The Pie is a great videogames company and I have many happy memories," he added.

"Co-founders Rich and Tom put a lot of trust in me, which I’m grateful for. I'm looking forward to what the company do in the coming years."
