Prehistoric Park and Freeze! are the top-reviewed Android games for December
If you were wondering what the best-reviewed Android games on the web last month were, here's the Android Quality Index round-up for December to fill you in.

The Android Quality Index boasts over 290,000 reviews from websites like Life of Android, Pocket Gamer, and GameDynamo, and uses a unique metric to create a single definitive score for each Android title.

Back to the future

December proved to be a stellar month for Android gaming, yessiree.

After all is said and done, though, Prehistoric Park takes the top spot on the Android Qi game chart. In this title from Gear Games, you are tasked with building a rickety theme park for your caveman customers.

In second place on the monthly rundown comes Freeze!, which may look like a rather dark and sinister game, but is actually an entertainingly breezy physics-puzzler where you must rotate each stage to guide your maudlin hero to the exit point.

Anomaly Korea in fifth ramps the scale right back up with its bombastic 3D action-strategy gameplay, while Gameloft's cutting-edge Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour (in eighth) stands out given it's one of the most full featured and best-looking first-person shooters on mobile to date.

And, naturally, this is a static graph based on live listings which are subject to constant change as new releases and reviews emerge.

In order to provide a regular marker of the critical zeitgeist, however, we will continue to round up the best of the Android games released each month to provide the definitive Quality Index top ten.

Jon is a consummate expert in adventure, action, and sports games. Which is just as well, as in real life he's timid, lazy, and unfit. It's amazing how these things even themselves out.
