Games conference gains special guest

Pocket Gamer winging its way to St. Petersburg for Winter Nights
What's an industry event without the appearance of a Pocket Gamer staffer or two?

Contrary to popular belief, we don't always crash them, either – sometimes we're actually invited.

Just like the Winter Nights Games Conference in the Russian city of St. Petersburg between 8-9 February, which – along with scores of other luminaries – will play host to PocketGamer.biz editor-at-large Jon Jordan.

Double act

Jon will be taking to the stage to deliver a talk on the best way for developers to get the most out of PR – a subject he's previously tackled on these very pages.

While Jon is busy causing a stampede towards the exit doors, Chris James – MD of Pocket Gamer publisher Steel Media – will be roaming the halls to catch any fleeing attendees, as well as picking any scraps of food or drink dropped by those with more expensive tickets.

In all seriousness, if you're like to catch up with either Jon or Chris while they're there, drop them an email to try and book a slot in their no doubt busy schedules.

You can contacts Jon at jon[at]pocketgamer.co.uk, while Chris can be reached at chris[at]pocketgamer.co.uk.

Other speakers confirmed for this year's Winter Nights include Supercell, Chillingo, Rovio, Wooga, Big Fish and PlayFirst. For more details, check out the event's website.
