Winter Nights 2013: We're looking to publish very casual games, reveals Rovio
At the Winter Nights conference in St Petersburg, Russia, Rovio's SVP, brand marketing, Ville Heijari spoke around the recent rumours about the company's move into publishing.

"There are opportunities for third party publishing building on the network effect of Angry Birds games," he said, during a talk about the development and success of Angry Birds Star Wars

Asked a question about this during the post-talk, he provided more detail.

"We're not confirmed any titles yet, but we're definitely looking to see what we can publish within our network. That will likely be very casual games at first," Heijari said.

This follows on from similarly no-but-yes comments from Rovio's CMO Peter Vesterbacka at the BlackBerry 10 launch.

"Remember, whatever we do, we do it differently to other companies," was all he was prepared to say on the subject of publishing.
