The first products of Marmalade's support for Windows Phone 8 are now available for download from the Windows Phone Store.
Monkube's 6th Planet and Spiel Inc.'s Propel Man were both ported and deployed in-house by their respective developers, using the beta version of the latest Marmalade SDK release.
Said beta is available to all Marmalade Plus customers, and also includes support for iOS, Android, BlackBerry 10, Mac OSX, Windows desktop and connected TV platforms.
Tangy spread
"Marmalade is an easy tool to work with and it has a very good performance engine," explained Monkube's managing and creative director Sven Van de Perre.
A storytelling interlude from 6th Planet.
"All of our work developing 6th Planet for Windows Phone 8 was done in a matter of days and we are very happy with the way our game looks running on these devices."
GDC attendees can hear Marmalade CTO Tim Closs talk more about the company's Windows Phone 8 support today, in a talk titled 'Expand Your Opportunities to Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 with Cross-Platform Engines and Libraries.'
Everyone else can find out more by simply visiting the Marmalade website.
