CastleVille team to build again

Ex-Zynga Dallas employees form Boss Fight Entertainment

A group of former Zynga Dallas employees, who you might recognise as the team behind CastleVille, have come together to create new F2P studio, Boss Fight Entertainment.

The Texas based firm is being helmed by ex-Zynga Dallas GM, Bill Jackson, who wants to draw on his past experience in order to create "high-quality mobile free-to-play games".

Boss Fight Entertainment was officially formed in June 2013, however, the developer, which is currently home to 25 employees, has been working under the radar for the past nine months.

F2P without compromise

Speaking to VentureBeat, Jackson explained that he wants to develop free-to-play games that put as much focus on gameplay, as they do monetisation.

"We learned quite a bit about designing and operating free-to-play games over the last five years," said Jackson.

"Boss Fight's next game will combine everything we know about free-to-play and mobile with the high production quality of our biggest franchise titles.

"We're already working on an original IP that we’ll start talking about in the coming months."

What do you call someone who has an unhealthy obsession with video games and Sean Bean? That'd be a 'Chris Kerr'. Chris is one of those deluded souls who actually believes that one day Sean Bean will survive a movie. Poor guy.
