Manchester goes mobile: Developer showcase Update heading for MediaCityUK

Building on a growing number of events aimed at developers in the North West of England, one of the latest to hit the city of Manchester is Update - a games showcase bound for MediaCityUK on Salford Quays this Saturday.

Update is set to run from 11am to 7pm and will feature more than 20 games in all for various different formats, including Gang Beats, Tiny Keep and Dream.

Also on the agenda will be talks from "industry professionals" such as Microsoft's Lee Stott, Joe Robins from Unity and Game Republic and UKIE stalwart Jamie Sefton.

Said presentations will also be uploaded to YouTube after the event, giving those who can't attend a chance to sample the event's expertise.

"The aim of Update is provide developers and gamers a place to network, play new games and discover opportunities," detailed event organiser Andrew Bennison.

You can find out more about Update on its website or its Eventbrite page.
