The sweet taste of victory: Foodo Kitchen wins the Krakow Big Indie Pitch

Foodo Kitchen by Tutulab emerged victorious from the latest Big Indie Pitch, beating off competition from more than 30 passionate indie developers who came down to compete in the unique OffCentrum bar in Krakow.

A unanimous victory

Pitching to journalists representing the likes of Pocket Gamer, Pocket Gamer Biz, ItProPortal and Develop, Tutulab’s child friendly cooking game charmed the judges with its unique style, swish presentation and ample charm.

Garnering a unanimous vote of approval from the judges in the first round of discussions, Foodo Kitchen swept all competition before it to claim first place and secure quality advertising in the Steel Media network ahead of its 15th May release date.

Foodo Kitchen proved to be a tasty treat

But despite this clear victor emerging, the judges felt that the general quality on show was excellent – as evidenced by the 2nd and 3rd placed titles. Tightly crafted 3D dogfighter Wings of Fire by Dreamwork Enginners secured second place narrowly ahead of the enchanting interactive fairy tale from Hot Head Balloon, Lore, who also secured advertising within the Pocket Gamer network.

An amazing evening

In fact, what really stood out was the passion of both the pitchers and the spectators themselves. With over 100 people turning up to socialise, play and network, everyone in attendance was struck by quite how passionate and excited the Polish indie scene was to have their moment in the limelight.

Wings of Fire lifted off with the judges
