Game Connection opens its award submissions

You're probably still thinking about your holidays, but the Game Connection team are now thinking about their October event in Paris.

And part of this are the Game Connection Development Awards.

Now in their ninth year (previously known as Selected Projects), there are 10 categories into which games can be entered, although note that each game can only be entered into a single category.

  • Best Console / PC Hardcore
  • Best Mobile / Tablets
  • Best Desktop / Downloadable
  • Best Casual Game
  • Best Social Game
  • Best Hardcore
  • Excellence in Art
  • Excellence in Story & Storytelling
  • Most Promising IP
  • Most Creative & Original Project

And there's also a competition for the best marketing campaign.

Teams selected to compete in the competition will be given a free pass to attend Game Connection (including a discount on any exhibitor option), plus a trailer spot in the dedicated Game Connection Development Awards lounge.

You can find out more about the awards and how to enter - you have until 29 August - via the award's website.
