F2P success see G5's FY14 Q2 sales rise 86% to $6 million

Mobile game publisher G5 Entertainment (STO:G5EN) has announced its FY14 Q2 financials, for the three months ending 30 June 2014.

Revenue was $6 million (40.6 million SEK), up 86 percent year-on-year.

Revenue from the company's free-to-play games grew 202 percent and the company passed 170 million cummulative downloads.

Earnings before interest and tax were $360,000 (2.4 million SEK), although stripping out the cost of relisting the company on the Stockholm's NASDAQ OMX exchange, it was $520,000.

Everything's on the up for G5

Looking at the half year period, sales were up 61 percent to $12 million (79.7 million SEK).

The company ended the quarter with cash of $3.7 million.
