You can't be lazy about monetisation, says Unity Ads' Mickey Maher

At Pocket Gamer Connects San Francisco 2015, Peter Willington spoke to Unity Technologies' Mickey Maher.

He explained that Unity wants to go beyond helping game developers build a beautiful game to also make a good business.

For that reason, as well as its engine business, Unity is adding more services such as analytics and advertising; something Maher is involved in via the Unity Ad services.

You can't be lazy about monetisation, and just assume you can "add it in later", he advices, whether that's using IAP or other monetisation options such as advertising.
