Remote Control Productions links with Cursor to open Finland office

German development group remote control productions has expanded its European reach.

It's adding a Finnish studio to its collection, which also includes countries such as Austria, Serbia, Russia and the US.

The move, which is located on south coast city Kotka, is a joint venture with Finnish outfit Cursor, which runs the Playa Game Industry Hub.

Nordic adventure

"This is a milestone in terms of rcp's globalization and the international distribution of our unique business model", says rcp's CEO Hendrik Lesser.

"Finland's well-developed games industry, its excellent tech know-how combined with the start-up friendly region of Kotka-Hamina offer a perfect environment for us, and with Cursor we found the perfect partner for this."

The office will open later in 2015, with rcp investing in gaming startups in terms of providing services in product development, marketing, business development, HR and finance.

Of course, both companies will also be attending Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki, which run 7-8 September 2015.
