Game Connection Europe 2015 Development and the Marketing Awards nominations revealed

Game Connection is pleased to announce the nominations for both the Development and the Marketing Awards that are being held at Game Connection Europe 2015 (28-30 October, Porte de Versailles, Paris).

The respective juries have finished their deliberations and have announced their nominations.

Prize winners from both awards will be able to capitalise on the large media presence at Game Connection Europe that includes both journalists from Paris Games Week as well as media partners and journalists from Game Connection Europe.

Marketing Awards

The Marketing Awards offers PR and marketing teams to show off their best work from the previous year. We celebrate the most creative and successful campaigns for games across all platforms and genres in 9 categories as diverse as Best Mobile Campaign to Best Live Action Trailer.

Each nominated team is also automatically entered in the "Best Marketing Team" award where the team that has been judged to be the most successful will be awarded the trophy.

Game Connection would like to thank the Marketing Awards jury for their tireless work on voting on so many submissions - Alexandre Scriabine from EA, Adrien Guerra from Bandai Namco, Neill Furmston from Furmston.co.uk and Eric Baesa from TakeOff Studios.

The nominations for the Marketing Awards 2015 include campaigns from: Ayzenberg Group, Eidos-Montreal, Netmarble Turkey, Ripstone, Maverick Media, Ant Farm, Paradox Interactive and many more.

Development Awards

The long running Development Awards celebrate the most creative and original projects in game development.

On top of the 10 existing categories, this year two new categories have been added - the "Best Indie Game" category will highlight the very best games developed in the indie spirit.

And the "People's Choice Award" will require nominees to hustle to get the most amount of likes for their project on a dedicated Facebook page - the winner being the one with the most likes.

The Development Awards also features the European Games Booster awards, hosted in conjunction with Capital Games and the European Creative MEDIA program - where each European project nominated in the other categories will be automatically entered to win this award.

24 projects will be on the fight for the 12 Awards to grab. Developers will be coming from as far as Australia, Japan, China or from closer countries Germany, Czech Republic or the Nordics.

A special mention to Silence who's in the running in 6 different categories and Double Happy Vs. The Infinite Sadness: Pharos running in 4 categories.

"We are incredibly excited to have such a high quality of nominations for Game Connection Europe 2015's Development Awards. The competition is fierce and I'm looking forward to the ceremony! I would like to thank everyone that submitted their project for consideration - the quality was outstanding but only a handful can be nominated. I'd like to thank our jury as well for their hard work in going through the sheer volume of submissions we received. And of course I'd like to thank our sponsors and partners that help us make the Development Awards possible and for giving our nominees even more visibility through the Development Awards pods, said Eric Lacroix, organiser of the Development Awards.

This year nominations will also have their own dedicated pods on the showfloor of Game Connection which will also be open to the public from Paris Games Week that will give them even more visibility and exposure on an international stage.

Game Connection would like to thank their fantastic Development Awards jury for taking the time to vote on the hundreds of submissions that were received.
