Video: The importance and hardships of the Southeast Asia market

At Pocket Gamer Connects San Francisco 2015, George Osborn led a panel on the Southeast Asia market and why it's attractive to Western developers.

Joining him were Andrew Walker, a partner at GameFounders; Jeonghee Jin, VP of Business Development for nWay Inc; and Jeferson Valadares, GM/VP of Product Development at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc.

Growth for everybody

Walker pointed out that it's important to have a growth sector for developers, and that "there will be growth for everybody, not just the Southeast Asians."

Valadares spoke about how Japan is a hard market to get into because "they're very detail-oriented," so there's a lot of hoops to jump through to get your game on the market.
