Video: Seriously on how YouTubers are the future of UA

Philip Hickey, VP of Marketing & Communications at Seriously, gave a talk at Pocket Gamer Connects San Francisco 2015 on how YouTubers can help with UA.

"YouTubers are more popular than mainstream superstars" said Hickey, especially with a teenage demographic who feel more connected to the YouTubers than the mainstream celebrities through comments and the like.

Forever and ever

YouTube also has permanence, as Hickey points out, "you get the content living forever", so even if people miss the video first time round, there's the chance for them to see it later and give developers small boosts of downloads.

He also gave some advice on working with YouTubers, saying "a YouTube video gone wrong is where the client has totally dictated it", and a more organic approach should be taken.
