In our First Time User Experience videos, we play the first 10 minutes of F2P mobile games to experience how developers are onboarding their players in terms of the UX and basic tutorial process.
In this episode of FTUE, we play Wooga's TV tie-in Futurama: Game of Drones.
Turned up to 4
Aside from the use of the cult TV licence, Wooga's headline selling point for the game is its match-4 (not a match-3) gameplay.
Obviously, this is not a radical innovation, but combined with the game's neat power up systems and the general smoothness in terms of how the licence has been integrated, the developer hopes it will be enough to attract both Futurama fans and churned Candy Crush players.
