Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes adds guilds, raids, and 'shoots first' Han Solo character

Given that EA/Capital Games' Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes was one of our most significant games of 2015- and we're still playing it - we're excited to see that the top 20 grossing game'slatest update adds that key longterm retention mechanic, guilds.

Available to any player over level 22 (the level cap is now 80), guilds add another layer to the game.

A key element is the new Raid mode, with the first Raid throwing guilds into a multi-tier battle against a Rancor.

Besting it will generate special gear and rewards, including a new character - Han Solo - a high critical attacker, whose special attribute is that he "always shoots first".

As well as hard power, however, the addition of soft, social elements such as real-time chat will also be important to keeping players engaged.

You can see how the functionality works in the following video.
