Chilli Technologies, a games technology start-up spun off from Dundee-based developer Tag Games, has released its free ChilliConnect backend and analytics toolkit.

ChilliConnect gives developers access to Cloud Scripting, Cloud Data Storage, DLC support, and Push Notifications, as well as the recently added Economy Management system.

The toolkit is free to use during development and testing, and developers only pay for it when their game is live.

They can either pay based on their MAUs, or agree to a revenue share.

"We've expanded the ChilliConnect feature set significantly since our Beta launch and we're delighted to now offer ChillConnect for use in live games," said Mike Herron, Head of Product Development at Chilli Technologies.

"This release marks the first step towards our vision of providing developers with everything they need to build, monetise and operate a live game in a single service."
