Game Center coming to Apple Watch

New enhancements for WatchOS 3

Game Center coming to Apple Watch

Apple Watch will soon support the Game Center social gaming network in WatchOS 3.

The Game Center lets users track scores through leaderboards, compare achievements and play games with friends.

Apple Watch will also get SpriteKit support: a framework designed to create more high-performance, battery-efficient 2D games. It is also opening up SceneKit and CloudKit support or the device, speaker audio, inline video and more.

Apple has made a number of other general performance and user interface enhancements in WatchOS 3 to improve the consumer experience. Users can now activate a dock to swipe through all activated apps by simply pressing the side button to make it easier to move in and out of apps already running in the background.
