Pokemon GO rakes in $200 million in its first month

Outperforms Clash Royale in every way

Pokemon GO rakes in $200 million in its first month

Pokemon GO has now earned more than $200 million since its launch.

The latest estimate comes from Sensor Tower, which believes that the game has reached this revenue milestone from combined revenues on both the App Store and Google Play.

To put this into context, Sensor Tower compared Pokemon GO to revenue stats for Clash Royale and Candy Crush Soda Saga, finding it considerably outperformed both titles.

In the case of Candy Crush Soda Saga, Pokemon GO managed to generate more than seven times as much net revenue in its first month compared to King's game.

The data suggests that while Pokemon GO was performing well in its early stages, it was when the game launched in Japan on day 18 that the revenue's really took off.

Of course, Japan's influence is only so strong – the game is already struggling to return to the number 1 grossing spot on the Japanese app stores.
