Registration opens for the 30-game strong Google Play Indie Games Festival

Google has opened up registration for its upcoming Google Play Indie Games Festival.

The event will be held at the Terra Gallery in San Francisco on 24 September 2016. It will feature 30 games from indie developers, 14 of which have yet to be released or are currently in closed beta.

Games on show are set to include 1979 Revolution: Black Friday, Crayola Worlds, and HOVR.

Small teams, big prizes

A panel of judges that includes Noah Falstein, Chief Game Designer at Google, and Emily Greer, CEO of Kongregate, will select the best games. Regular attendees may also vote for their favourites.

The winning developers will receive Google Cloud credits, NVIDIA SHIELD Android TVs and K1 tablets, Razer Forge TV bundles and more.

The event is free to attend and registration is available on the Google Play Indie Games Festival website.
