Disruptor Beam reveals new story-driven mulitplayer game The Walking Dead: March to War

US developer Disruptor Beam has revealed it is working on a new title based on Robert Kirkham's The Walking Dead comics called The Walking Dead: March to War.

The game is described as a story-driven multiplayer strategy title. Players will have to defend their settlements from both walkers, the series' zombies, and other players.

Series regulars Rick, Michonne, and Negan will all make appearances alongside other characters from the series. They will be realised in 3D graphics "unlike anything seen in other The Walking Dead or strategy mobile games."

Authentic and impressive

"We've had success bringing both Star Trek and Game of Thrones to mobile, allowing fans of these franchises to tell their own stories through gameplay and the connections they make with other players," said Jon Radoff, founder & CEO of Disruptor Beam.

"We very much look forward to continuing our work with Skybound Entertainment to create a similarly authentic and graphically impressive 3D game that truly brings to life the world fans love in The Walking Dead: March to War."

Disruptor Beam previously closed a $3.2 million Series A funding round in November 2014 to fund the development of its game Star Trek: Timelines.

The Walking Dead: March To War will launch next year on both Android and iOS.
