Mobile Games University teaches industry professionals everything they need to know about the mobile business

PocketGamer.biz has launched a brand new platform for learning about the games business: the Mobile Games University.

The Mobile Games University (MGU) is designed to teach games industry professionals everything they need to know about the business.

We’ll be collating the most insightful articles, white papers, videos, guides, documentation and more to give you a sound knowledge base on subjects relevant to the mobile games industry.

First of many

The first MGU Course focuses on App Store Optimization. The ASO 101 course is live right now, and is written for beginners, though experienced professionals may find it useful too.

We look at keywords, app store icon design, picking the best screenshots, choosing the right app name and how to write the best app description for your game.

The course will be updated throughout the week. We’ll also be posting exclusive articles to further educate you on ASO.

But there will be more. The next course will look at Paid User Acquisition types with guides on how to make the most from your UA campaigns.

And there will be many more courses after that, including:

  • Paid User Acquisition
  • Monetisation Design
  • Marketing For Indies
  • How to get funding
  • Concept Development
  • How to get a job in games

But we’re not just creating the Mobile Games University courses ourselves, we want your help too.

Got a suggestion for a new course? Want to recommend new articles for course content? Want to get involved in helping us curate a course or want to sponsor the MGU? Contact mgu@pocketgamer.biz to make suggestions and discuss how you can get involved.
