Square Enix Montreal team takes week off for game jam

The team at Square Enix Montreal put all projects on hold for a week in September to take part in a studio-wide game jam.

The inaugural Square Jam had studio members split into small teams to create games based around the theme ‘exposed’.

Games developed during the week included Aegis, in which players use witchcraft to battle opponents in an arena, hospital-based infinite walker Cheekout (main image) and noir newspaper-building game Daily Exposed, plus many more.

You can find details of all the games here. There are no current plans to make the games available for release.

Square Enix Montreal is better known for working on games such as Hitman GO, Lara Croft GO and Deus Ex GO.
