Plug In Digital launches indie publishing label Playdius for all platforms including Switch

Paris-based video game distributor Plug In Digital has unveiled its new multi-platform indie publishing label Playdius.

The label is looking to work with indie developers working on games across, PC, mobile and console, including the recently released Nintendo Switch. Six games have been signed up to the service so far.

Playdius has already published indie premium title A Normal Lost Phone on Android and iOS. will also publish Neurovoider, sU and the Quest for Meaning, Pankapu and Away on Nintendo's new console.

A natural progression

"We're extremely passionate about Indie games and their creators, therefore it was a natural progression that we would create a publishing arm that allows us to work with developers to get their projects out there for the public to enjoy," said Francis Ingrand, CEO of Plug In Digital.

"We look forward to showcasing our first group of games under the new label at PAX East for all attendees to experience."

Playdius is another in a long line of recently opened indie publishing labels. Goat Simulator developer Coffee Stain Studios recently re-branded as a publisher and Cut the Rope developer ZeptoLab has also opened its own mobile publishing arm.
