Almost all the rumours come true

Apple unveils two new 9.7-inch iPads and a red iPhone 7

Apple has officially unveiled two new iPad products as it scraps the iPad Air brand altogether.

The main iPad brand is no longer referred to as the Air, and only comes in 32GB and 128GB storage sizes. It features a 9.7-inch screen and a beefed-up A9 processor chip.

The 9.7-inch model has also been added to the iPad Pro line. The improved version comes with an A9X processor and a 12-megapixel camera, making it a marginal improvement over the current 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

Paint it red

Alongside its new iPad Pro line, Apple also launched a red iPhone 7 and 7 Plus in partnership with AIDS charity (RED). Every purchase of this brand of phone contributes to the (RED) Global Fund.

The new line of iPads and the red iPhone were rumoured back in February 2017. The much-rumoured 10.5-inch iPad model is still yet to be seen.
