Therapeutic mobile game developer Tilak Healthcare raises $2.7 million

Paris-based digital healthcare startup Tilak Healthcare has raised $2.7 million from the iBionext Growth Fund.

The firm, which was co-founded by startup development outfit iBionext in May 2016, will be putting the fund towards accelerating the development of its therapeutic mobile games.

Games with a purpose

These games are intended to help with the diagnosis and follow-up treatment of chronic diseases. The first will be focused on macular diseases that can result in a loss of vision.

"At Tilak , we are proud to adapt the power of videogames and entertainment to healthcare, thanks to our very distinctive positioning in the digital health world," said CEO Edouard Gasser.

"With the support of iBionext Growth Fund, we’ll make mobile gaming a great healthcare tool.”
