Vietnam-based publisher Appota pushes towards $50 million valuation with series C funding round

Vietnam-based mobile publisher and platform provider Appota has raised a series C funding round for an undisclosed sum to grow its new advertising and fintech businesses.

The funding round was led by Korea Investment Partners and Mirae Asset Venture Investment. As part of the investment, Sang-Ho Park, Executive Director of the Investment Division at KIP, joins the Board of Directors at Appota.

Appota currently serves over 30 million users worldwide with its platform and also boasts five million MAUs for its ecosystem of mobile products.

Much-needed capital

"With this series C funding, Appota is reaching towards the $50 million valuation mark," said Do Tuan Anh, Founder and CEO of Appota.

"Besides much-needed capital to fortify our platform and scale our services, KIP and Mirae contribute their extensive and active network together with their profound knowledge in the gaming market, social network, and financial tech to help Appota expand with confidence to other parts of Asia."

As well as advertising, Appota's services also include mobile game publishing arm Gamota, which it claims is the third largest publisher of its kind in Vietnam.
