Mobile social casino gamers play for 57 minutes per session and spend $39.87 a month on games in the genre, according the SuperData Research.

The firm has released its latest Social Casino Consumer Insights report, which studies engagement rates and revenues for the social casino genre in the US.

The report found that the LTV of a mobile social casino player is $324. Average lifetime and average monthly spends increased 40% and 59% respectively over the last 12 months.

Pony up

Players don't just exclusively focus on these games, however. 93% of users are said to play social casino games as a "secondary activity", with 78% of players watching TV or streamed content while they game.

The report also found that 85% of all social casino gamers now play on smartphones. It claims that 74% of all smartphone users play social casino games, while 72% of all tablet users play games in the genre.

With such high LTVs, its little wonder companies are spending big money on social casino developers. Most recently, South Korean publisher DoubleU Games acquired social casino developer Double Down Interactive for $825 million.
